My latest modifieds...

Spent a little time on Father's Day modifying a few cars for fun.

First is a Ferrari Testarossa I stripped to bare metal and added FTE wheels to.
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Second is an old gold wheel Fairlane Stock car from my youth, axles and wheels were toast...now rolling on FTE's as well.

The carnage from the modifications...

Haven't tested either on the track, but both are heavier cars with metal bases and they roll nice...we'll see!

That Ferrari looks like a dominator. I'd put my money on that one for sure.

I need to dust of my workspace and start customizing and modding some cars. Been crazy busy lately with other stuff and that damn v2 of the League is just dragging. Ggrrrr...I just wanna play!!

All I asked for Father's day was a day out at my shop.

Pulled an engine and transmission from a 1961 Cadillac limo, then took off the front end and towed the car out into the storage yard. Pulled a 1963 caddy coupe out into the yard as well. Then I helped a friend work on the brakes on his 1966 chevy truck....then I got some cars modified!

Went home to a new outdoor gas grill and some nice steaks and veggies to grill! I'm a lucky man!

Real cars and toy cars, doesn't get much better than that! I hope you have that much fun more than just once a year!

I put some new shoes on a Huffman Stocker but it wasn't very fast at all.
It was the first and only time that I have ever done a wheel swap so it
may not have been done very smoothly.

I love the look of the FTE wheels on those older cars! Both the Ferrari and the Fairlane look like they'd kick butt down the rails! The stripped paint on that Testarossa looks wicked!

Indeed, it does seem you're living the 'good life' Mr. Jobe!!!

Too bad the Huffman didn't perform. I guess looking fast and being fast are two different animals

Tested the modifieds tonight, Ferrari is running pretty close to my Ambulance...

The Fairlane not so much, but still quick. Nice conversation piece I guess! Didn't get much time on the track before bedtime for the little one!

yeah, I was disappointed that the Huffman didn't do well
because it is a top ten racer at the Conventions but the
FTE's didn't help. BTW, at the Conventions, they
usually don't have 'customized' races. Stock only.

We might just be the exception, but there is always a modified class at the DCS conventions.

I had a little side bet with a friend in Orlando and there was an online vote, custom contest and downhill race that we competed in. I took him in the custom contest and race, but wasn't able to sweep the whole event. Oh well... 2 outta 3 aint bad, lol.

Here's my entry, the Stage 2

The exhaust wasn't done in the pics, but I think you guys can get the idea, lol

love the "stage 2"... fast "n" purdy......that's a winner...
just cut most of the nose off, [minus the cannards] from "mad fast", set it in front of the rear engine [ injected 289.] of a chopped "way 2 fast", the pin under the nose lines up with the hole in the base...too cool ...
it also seemed to look ok with a longgg "astro funk"............ att. JOBE ?
... sorry that i don't know how to post pix.... or i would...

want to build a hoodless hot rod ? not shure how to support the rad./ grill ? like injected v8's ? ... trim the transaxle off just behind the engine, and the forward supports of the roll cage, on TERRELL P34 SIX WHEELER.... it leaves a nice lookin, metal engine with a rugged flat spot to attatch your grill ... maybe "stroke" the block with lead.... ? ?
