DUDE.
That's quite a collection you have.
Yes, I'm interested in seeing how this all works out.

  • I have some preliminary video up on YouTube to practice. I'm looking for some mounted cameras to mix in. I need to edit videos as well. — Greenjo2

Hearing cars glide over vintage orange track is my kind of ASMR!

Blending old school track with today's tech, I dig it. If you're going this hard already in sourcing open lane track, Spool Heads can't be beat by any other system (Magna Track, Sizzler, Fat Track, AFCR) in terms of accommodating a wider range of castings and user setup experience that allows for far gentler slope degrees needed to get cars through the turns, which also means less vertical space needed to build a track that functions well, getting the best performance out of the cars you run on it

Gotta say, not only is what you have on hand already enviable, track and timers, but the space and flexibility for layouts even at this early stage, too

  • Yes I have a lot of spool head products here or on order. He's an incredible designer and his product is engineered great. His only problem is the tools he has to work with. 3d printing in segments kills speed if components aren't aligned perfectly. Not his fault it's a limitation of 3d printing. But if you get it all to align perfectly the cars scream through his 2 lane180. I'll post a video on you tube showing you. Misalignment cost .02 to .05 seconds or more on runs. Also, that 1969 Sizzlers 180 single lane high bank is a great performer. — Greenjo2

Here's my first rough production of a product review.  Check out the notes section on the video for a draft product write up.

Looks like  you will have a ton of fun there!

Cheers, enjoy!

I thought I should post a picture or two showing what the layout looks like now. 3 fully functional road courses and one drag waiting to be installed on one side.
