New 50 foot rolls of track

markkaz Friday, 12/16/2011

I just became aware of this product about five minutes ago.
I don't know anything other that what can be seen on the website:

http://www.protectopak.com/.sc/ms/cat/5 ... %26quot%3B

Or http://www.protectopak.com/ and look for the track tab.

On first glance, it appears to be 3-lane but they
only show cars on the outside lanes. I wonder what
the composition of the track is?

BluTrack has long rolls of 2-Lane track as well but it
feels like rubber to me and is affected by sunlight.

Another thing that I learned with BluTrack is that it
wants to pull to one side and it doesn't like to lay straight.
I wonder if this new track does the same thing.

thanks markas,
looked at it, it is 2 lane [looks like 3 ] the way it is rolled, it must be soft...

I just seen in the description that it is 2-lane track. I wonder why
it has so much space between the lanes?

That's my design. They're not supposed to be selling it yet.

Definitely don't buy it for that price.

The center median is designed that way to keep the tracks aligned and even while keeping it flexible enough to roll up.

Funny, when I saw the picture my first thought was uh oh--someone stole Jason's idea after I saw the "sample" you had up at Dyersville! But I didn't want to comment on it because of the price in case it was really your item and that was what you would be charging for it.

jason,
nice idea keeping the track from twisting with a third lane and extra upright.... and just a thought , but does your black track allow a very narrow third car [ straight pipes etc.] to run down the middle ? . if so, i can't wait to see our own hot wheels racin' movie makers' "video from the center lane"...also could one velcro the camera car on a pipeless straight pipes's roof or a '59 caddy convertible ? ....currently un-rated video...
