- Thank you! I know most guys will use spray paint but I wanted to give my hand painting skills a shot! — Zizzer_Prime
Those are some nice clean lines.
When it's screaming down the track at 400kmh, no one will notice if it's hand painted, spray painted or done with crayons.
It looks great!
Very nice
Well done!
Looks good to me.
Welcome to the community!
I think it looks fine. I hand paint a lot of stuff.
sometimes the part is too detailed to spray can it,
(some cans are over excited about spewing paint...lol)
predicting how colors work on a car can sometimes fool you
because the shape of the car changes how the colors interact.
In the '80's I painted my challenger (real car) 2 tone green (med green pearl, dark green details)
it looked great, except the hood. (with the bulge aka rallye hood)
I could never get the look right, always looked cartoony/dumb/or asymetrical from the front
over the summer, I sware I painted that hood 4 times, and finally left it the med green.
then it didn't look right with all the 2 tone,
so I shot the whole car over again, never tried a multicolor again
My joke that summer was when people asked how much paint it takes to paint a car;
"I'm on my 3rd gallon, and it still ain't done, don't ask me"
