Porsche Stock & Modified - Rookie/Pro Tournament

Are you a Rookie or a Pro builder? This tournament will be split into those 2 groups. To race in the Rookie bracket you must have zero wins in your Redline Derby Career Stats. The (3) castings that we are using for this tournament are the 1996 Carrera, Taycan Turbo S and the Carrera T. There will be a 'stock' and 'modified' race for Rookie and only 'modified' for the Pro race.

Rules & restrictions

• Stock class can NOT be drilled and tapped or opened. Only work the wheels.
• 60g maximum weight for the modified class. 
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• No Time Machine wagon wheels
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• No bearings or bushings
• Any Lube, keep the track clean
• $5 entry fee for each car sent.
• Limit 1 entry in each stock and modified race
• No Time Machine wagon wheels
• Only the 96' Carrera, Taycan Turbo S and Carrera T castings allowed.
• Let me know if you want to enter "Rookie" or "Pro" when signing up.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 1/29/2027. Racing is scheduled for Friday, 1/29/2027. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Race format and scoring

This will be a double elimination tournament. Pairings will be randomized and race once. The winner moves on the the slower time will go to the 2nd chance bracket. Winners will continue racing once in the winners bracket. The 2nd chance bracket cars will race twice, switching lanes and the best time will then move on. The car that loses in the 2nd chance bracket is done and won't race again in the tournament.

All 3 races will have a top 5 placement.

Top 5 in the Rookie Stock get recognition on RLD stats.

Top 5 in the Rookie Modified get recognition on RLD stats.

Top 5 in Pro Modified get recognition on RLD stats.

Penalties/DNF

Modified Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
