Prize Cars

Stroller Monday, 6/17/2013

These are the cars I got for having the car I picked in the Tom's Diecast 200.
They are both Johnny Lightning. In fact my first 2 Johnny Lightnings.

Anyone know if these all show and no go?

Save them or race them. Oh I know what many of you will say...... .....or do I?

I don't have any Johnny's in my collection but since they look so nice, it's been on my list to get a few and fit some FTEs on them and see what happens. But I know there's a JL Camaro that smokes right out of the box.

And thanks for posting the pictures!

I have Johnnies with the same wheel that's on the VW. They aren't the greatest. Is the Mustang the Forever 64 series with the plastic base, or is it a cast base? The biggest problem with Forever 64 cars is the axle floats back and forth. You won't find that out though until you open it. I've bought many recently to race in the LJLRC F64 class only to be disappointed when they can't get out of their own way running down the track. Still cool cars to collect and look at, but I'm losing my points lead not being able to come up with any new quick cars. On the other hand, I've had some quick metal based Mustangs (biggest part of my JL collection) but they still can't keep up with the Boogie Vans or BWF Camaro.

Love that Mustang by the way.

The Mustang is plastic based and the VW is metal. Thanks for the tips.
