Question for Race Hosts

What is the actual name we call this part of the chassis and race hosts do you generally care if it's removed? I didn't know if this falls under "no body modification" Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I couldn't find anything in my searches. Thanks

Typically, "body Mods" would refer to: filling in windows, hogging out wheel wells, smoothing body lines, removing/adding pieces to the body, shaving fenders, or anything really dealing with the appearance of the original casting. Sometimes hosts will also restrict the wheel/axel combinations as in no coloured wheels or no FTE's/NPA's, or they will restrict the "conning" of wheels. I've yet to come across anyone who cares about the undersides of the cars. As a builder, they get removed 99% of the time, and I have no idea what the name of them are. Lol
I would say as long as the race host has not specified "Stock Only" it should be fine.
Most would not care if it was removed. I know on my track I want builders to have fun. Be creative and competitive. So as long as it goes down and does not interfere with other cars it's fine!! Not sure what it's called but that little part would not be a problem removed. I wouldn't even notice it had been removed.
Thanks for all the help.
Great question! As rookie I also have a lot of obscure little question I think of while building. I usually ask the host via message, but I should probably get in the habit of asking on the forum so everone can add it to their knowledge banks. I will make an effort to do that from now on.
As to your question, I remove them on any mod, but never on a stock build. No idea what theyre called.

Far from official nomenclature, Tomi from Northern Roads Racing called these "Axle Crush Protectors," which I find very fitting. Sometimes there's appreciable distance between them and the track, a lot of off road vehicles leave sub-millimetre clearances. On the '98 Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version they appear so strangely squared off compared to so much else
Personally I don't care if you take those out. I'm sure they are to limit damage to axles when you stand on the cars and don't really serve any other purpose or benefit in racing.
Welcome!
Think I've seen them called them "wheel nubs"
