Race Idea...Import vs Domestic
I just saw that there was a Import vs Domestic race recently, and that is where this idea came from. I'm just looking for input right now...and I'm not sure where it will fit in the schedule, but it seemed like a pretty cool idea.
What I'm thinking is that everyone builds one import, and one domestic...the imports race each other, the domestics race each other, until the finals where the two groups shoot it out.
The cars can be any era, as long as they are both import and domestic.
What do you think? Any input?
Thanks Guys!

I knew there was a reason I picked up that MBX Alfa Romeo yesterday!! And I've got just the right batmobile wheels for it too!!
YYYESSSSS!!! I'm in!
I've not been a huge import fan, but has anyone else noticed the cooler racing tampo/graphic designs seem to be gracing more of the import models? Although, the '68 Mercury Cougar and the new '70 Plymouth Superbird look good.
I'm game. Question though. I believe Smitty is more into domestics than imports. If I ask him if he's interested would there be any objections if him and I teamed up? I'll build two imports and he can build two domestics.
If he's interested. I haven't asked him yet.
- I'm just putting out feelers for this...but I wouldn't have any problem with it — 72_Chevy_C10
- I would not object, if I find time to build and enter. 2 cents — CrzyTrkrDude
- That's a good idea. — delta6
- Sounds fine to me. That's actually a great idea for a tournament of its own! — redlinederby
Count me in!!!
Now this I like! I'd say minimal/basic restrictions on weight/wheels only. Any year or model...makes it easy for more to enter.
