Racing in the Past Lane 3

Quite possibly the last race for a while at Elevation…. I am highly anticipating this one as it is my favorite race of the year.

STOCK RACE will be classic cars from the 50s through the 90s …no trucks no vans no buses no SUVs no time machines and no Jaguars no fantasy cars. Any brand you wish to race. 55g

MODIFIED RACE will be the NASCAR pro Racing Hotwheels series from the late 90s body must retain its natural appearance, and you must use the Goodyear wheels that came with it. Yes, you can interchange the wheels and find a faster set, but they must be the yellow branded Goodyears.

Rules & restrictions

• Stock and modified entries allowed
• Stock 55g Modified 70g  weight
• Must fit the Mile High seamless track
• Limit 2 entries per household per race $5.00 per entry you may send to stock and to modified if you wish
• Tubes ok but Good Year tires a must No bearings
• Don’t Soul Glow My Track
• .99g grace foot both races
• Limit two cars per race two stock and two mods total

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Wednesday 7/1/2026. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 7/4/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will Look good on the shelf.

Race format and scoring

Since this will be held on Independence Day and my birthday is the next day this will be a bracket tournament race qualifying will begin Saturday morning. Seating will go according to a 32 car bracket.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of .99g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify to Advance past the first round. Offending cars will still race.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced. Good luck on your race day!!!

Prizes

There will be a nice size trophy for the winner of each race second and third place will get a metal and nobody will go home empty-handed. Nice price pack for each winner.
