Red Desert Baja II

Jdub3000, The track frame is just wood. Most of the surface is sandpaper with a few other surfaces thrown in. Most of the hills and jumps are carved out of foam then covered with sandpaper. I used Lexan (from Home Depot) walls for the hills and jumps since it was clear to see through for filming. The curves are Fat Track curves. Originally when I was building it I had created a lot more jumps, bumps and different surfaces to put on it, but it was just too much. Even now it is a difficult track for cars to finish. But that kind of makes it fun too. I've been debating on whether to change the first hill right after the start. It's a little steep and cars didn't hit it exactly as I'd imagined they would, but I also like the difficulty that it presents. Also the very last hill before the finish line caused a lot of problems this year. More so than last year. Last year if the cars made it down that last stretch to the hill, they usually made it over the hill, not so this year. Many cars this year made it to the hill, but not up and over it to the finish line. I may rework that part of the track so that it's more of a straight shot to the finish line once you get that far.
Anyway, a few things that I'd like to tweak on it if I get the time. Any thoughts or suggestions anybody has let me know. I still consider it a work in progress. :)

And here comes round 2. The 8 winners will move on to round 3. If you get eliminated in round 2, you still have some racing to do. I'll be doing a bracket for 9th and 10th place.

Fast Cash Racing, Epic Racing, Red Rock Racing and Jdub3000JR Racing all lost in round 3, but were not done racing. Here is the video of the these guys racing in a bracket to determine 5th – 8th place.

Well, I have to say I was surprised by that Bronco taking out my F40! At least it beat the Spocket as well, so that I don't have to feel like a total loser ... ha-ha-ha!

Congrats to the one who I'm guessing is the winner (though I won't say who so as not to spoil it)! Just noticed up by the top the bit about how the bonus points are awarded for completed runs ... if I'm understanding it right and my completed runs during the brackets are not counted as bonuses, then I think the Baja Ferrari is out of the running. I'm glad I got to see it do well in the 9th/10th Place Bracket, though!
