Redline Derby 5th Anniversary, I almost forgot

I was so busy dealing with real life that I totally forgot it was Redline Derby's birthday last month! As of September 16, Redline Derby Racing officially turned 5 years old.

Okay, so technically speaking, RLD is older than that but that date is when I setup the redlinederby.com domain and really opened it up to the wider audience. Before that, Redline Derby existed only as a page on my blog with little more than photos of my cars.

This year saw the first major update to the web site in several years and so far, shy of a little drama at first launch, it has gone really well. There's still a lot of room for improvement and that will continue to be my focus. Collecting and racing cars is a fun hobby but creating and running this site is my true, daily hobby and I love it, even if that means having the occasional spirited debate.

I need to thank everyone that has ever signed up and joined RLD as a member. Even those that have moved on to bigger and better things helped this site grow. Those of you that have been here since the beginning, I thank you even more because your continued support motivates me to keep this site up and running for the greater good.

I know the Fantasy League going on break was a killer for many, myself included, but real life sometimes gets in the way and sacrifices must be made. Although it probably goes without saying, my pledge to the Redline Derby community is continued dedication to running a top notch diecast racing web site where only the best come to play.
