Redline Derby track changes, specs

I don't have any photos yet, hopefully before Sunday when I have some light, but without that wanted to pass along the specs for the track changes. Here is a rough sketch that is not really to scale.

Overall length is 19.5 feet from front of starting gate to the finish line.

Cars are falling from a height of 3.5 feet. The hill is 5.5 feet long at a 37* angle.

The big change in the track is the transition. At the switch the track is 4 inches off the ground and over a distance of 6 feet drops down to 1.5 inches off the ground. From that point on it is a flat straight away for the remaining 8 feet of track.

So basically you have big hill into gradual hill into straight out. Same starting gate and same finish line.

It might not seem like much of a change but it makes a big difference in terms of heavier cars not flying off the track. The extra decline made for a much easier transition but there is still a straight away. I'm really happy with this update, however slight it may be.

This setup will remain for this season and the next to end out the year.
