ADRC NASCAR 1/64 Cup Qualifying for Australia Tasmanian Speedway 2020 - sub4ra channel

Christmas Day qualifying?!

Boy, I think many of the top drivers already had their minds in holiday mode, and looking forward to throwing down a Coopers Beer, prawns (shrimps) lobster (crayfish), with sand, sun and surf down here in Aus! Then of course….There are other distractions!

There was MANY DNF’s here, but great news that many new faces made an impression here!

It is tough breaking into the grid on race day. The entrenched top 20 making life hard!

The outcome?! Nero 62 finally put down some form, and held it together to take pole position! Well done. But the most sensational run of the day has to go to the Pink 10 mbx ride of Kathy Lisa Kim, of Harford Community Racing! Sizzling around the track to be within .007 sec of pole. Woohoo!!

3D & 2D have not had a great season to date. Christmas came early in Aus, with some great qualifying performances. 100 Proof Racing also doing well again. Flocar Motorsports, great to see them up the top too. Many great efforts at the top of the list!

On the other hand, the mechanics are working hard on some of the Top 20 Points cars. Many did not fire, and the owners are asking questions! It is getting down to the serious part of the Season!

One can feel for the Liquid Ruuush entries, there were some great runs, that may not get rewarded if they don’t break through for the all important 36th Grid Spot! Special Mention to Trade Mark Racing! I believe the Chris Moskell car is their first build to make the cut! Good luck out there!

I have attached the results, the qualifying times, and the actual position in time they got through qualifying. The 36 who will be on the grid come race day, have a letter in the right hand column which associates them with the group they will be racing in. The yellow infill indicates cars that are in the Top 20. Note: I have not listed the DNFs.

Cheers, I wish you all the best come race day.

My Mirada was just shy.  Its had a rough go of it.  Not bad tho considering it was built for an RLDRL 60g race initially.

  • Yeah. It is tough to break into the race day grid, with the top 20 coveting their spots. Cheers. — CutRock_R_Marc_D
