SCM Racing at the Korgen Dragway. ***FULL***

Please note that Lightening McQueen will not run on this track. It's a little too wide and rubs the sides. If your car is too wide and rubs I will let you know so you can send in a sub to race. Trying to be as fair as possible to everyone. 

32 car tournament to claim The 1st King of the Mountain tournament at the Korgen Dragway brought to you by SteelCity Mafia Racing.

Rules & restrictions

• Stock entries only
• 57g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only
• Smashing Pumpkins, Prince, Tool, NIN, and purple pansies are the things he liked, but can be any thing. 

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 6/1/2024. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 6/8/2024. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

****UPDATE****

If by June 1st, I have 16 racers, but don't have 32 cars, i will do 1 of 2 things. First option would be to leave sign-ups open to get the 32 cars needed.  Second option would be for me to add house cars. House cars would not be eligible to move on and would be strictly competition to fill out the 32 car bracket. I will not enter a team to compete. I don't want to work cars and find what is fast and have an unfair advantage. Even though it is just for Bragging rights.

Track

This is a tribute race for my brother from another mother. Cars must be stock with dry lube. Can be painted and custom decos. BUT NOT OPENED UP!

Race format and scoring

Cars will be given 2 runs down the track in this tournament. Cars will alternate lanes between each race. The car with the fastest time will move on. In case of a tie, the car with the second fastest time will move on. 

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

The winner of this tournament will remain at the track for following tournaments until it is defeated. 

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.  

If you would like to have your car to stay at Korgen Dragway to race in his memory,  leave a note stating so with your cars.
