Back by popular demand, Screen to Speedway is rolling back onto the track for Take Two!

This diecast racing event celebrates the movies, TV shows, cartoons, and characters that made us laugh, cheer, and quote lines we probably say way too often. Bring a build inspired by a legendary movie car, classic cartoon, sitcom, sci-fi adventure, superhero ride, villain getaway car, or anything else from the screen — from the iconic to the obscure, the nostalgic to the “I can’t believe someone made that.”

Creativity and variety are the goal. 

So grab your popcorn, cue the soundtrack, and get your screen-inspired builds ready.

Screen to Speedway: Take Two is ready for its next scene.

There will be THREE RACES

1. TIME TRIAL - All submitted entries will compete in a time trial
2. Best Actors - The fastest 32 racers will advance to the main racing event
3. Best Supporting Actors - The racers ranked 33 and above will have their own race

 Rules & restrictions

• Stock and modified entries allowed
• Limit 2 entries per household
  • Please post what cars you will be racing
• MUST BE FROM A MOVIE or TV show
  • If you have a question...ask.
• NO EVOs. 
• 60g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Any lube that DOESN'T Leak
• NO PUTTY WEIGHT!! 
• Family-friendly driver names and decals – any offensive decals will be disqualified.

Entry Fee: $5 per car. Any extra support helps keep Power Up Pass rolling and makes it easier to keep putting on events like this for the community.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 9/19/2026. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 9/26/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include $15.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Please let me know of you want to bundle with other race returns.

Race format and scoring

The initial field of cars will compete in a time trial. Each racer will get two attempts from the pole position. The faster of the two runs will count as that racer’s official qualifying time. That run will be the one shown in the video.

The top 32 fastest racers will advance to the main competition.

Once the top 32 are set, racers will compete in heats of 4 cars. Each heat will consist of 4 races, with cars alternating lanes between races. After all 4 races, the top two racers in points will advance to the next round.

The same format will take place with 33-64th place racers  

Points System
Points will be awarded as follows:

1st place — 5 points
2nd place — 3 points
3rd place — 2 points
4th place — 1 point
DNF — 0 points

The car that wins the final race will be declared the overall winner.

Tiebreakers
Ties will be settled by sudden death races up until the final race. Sudden death races will use the Pinkman Point System:

1st place — 2 points
2nd place — 1 point
DNF — -1 point

In the finals, there will be no sudden death tiebreaker races. If there is a tie in the final race, the winner will be determined by the racer’s total points accumulated throughout the tournament.

The race host has final say in all race decisions.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
