Season 11 planning

I don't have a firm timeline for Season 11 yet. I have some things coming up soon that might cut into play time, but that's the way it goes. Season 11 won't start until October at least and given the holidays in Nov/Dec, we might try to shove more brackets in per week than the usual two.

The variant tracking stuff is near done so I hope to roll that out and do testing after this season so it can be used in Season 11. This will let members upload photos of variant cars that exist in the League, and then hosts can link their track to a specific variant so it appears in brackets and stuff. Hopefully this should make it clear which car is racing on which track.

For Season 10 we went to a new track every week and looking back now that was probably a little extreme but I know it was fun all the same, especially for those hosting the races. We'll dial that back a bit for Season 11 with more brackets coming back to Ohio to race on the official RLD track. I'll be contacting track hosts soon to see which of you will be available going into the end of the year. There will still be plenty of circuit racing, just not week after week.

One almost-significant change that will happen in Season 11 is changing achievements payouts to credits only. Currently some achievements payout points that go towards your season total. Any achievements that do so right now will be changed over to credits which will hopefully foster more car unlocking. This change should also make it so that a player's season points total will reflect their bracket-picking "skill" more accurately. As we continue to improve the game, expect more things that take advantage of credits, leaving points as a result of bracket picks/entry only.

Season 11 will again be sponsored by Diecast X Magazine so another subscription will be on the line for the championship. I also plan and adding more regular season prize tournaments to the mix...just little prizes like a car or two from the RLD stash. Not only does it make things a bit more interesting in the game, it will help me thin out my collection a little bit!

So good stuff on the way, I think and hope. There's a lot on my mind regarding continued improvements to the game so I'll be blabbering on about those soon enough.

As usual, thanks to everyone that plays in the League and hangs around here in the forums.
Your support is truly motivating.

Season 10 (or UTS, depending on how you look at things here) is barely put to bed...but, do we have a start date for next season?

Want to be ready to go when it's time to get movin'!

I sent out a mail to hosts to get availability. Once I hear back from them I'll get the schedule out. Although tentatively the next season will start second week of October. I'll let you know
