I'm excited to introduce the main series that will be taking place at the Valley, and it's called 'The Takeover'.
The Takeover is an ongoing H2H modified diecast underground racing series.
Racers will be racing head-to-head in order to be the best driver in the valley. Climb up the ranks and be safe, drop down in the ranks and watch out for the cops.

The series functions with a Street Cred System and a Racer Level System.

Rules & restrictions

  • Stock and modified entries allowed
  • 50g maximum weight
  • 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
  • Limit 1 entries per household
  • Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
  • Dry lube only
  • No fantasy cars, licensed real cars only
  • Base must match body
  • Convertibles should have painted drivers.

Dates & deadlines

Since this is an ongoing series, cars will be accepted as they come in. Will close entries when list becomes too big to manage. First video is planned to be out in the first week in May.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $5.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Race format and scoring

The Street Cred System:
Every new racer joins with 400sc. Actions taken in the valley will determine the gain and loss of SC. For example, wins and overtakes will increase your SC, while losses, DNF and crashes will decrease your SC.

If a racer happens to drop down to 0SC, then they will no longer be protected from the SVPD and will have to evade the cops to remain in the valley. If a driver gets caught by the SVPD, that car is impounded and can no longer race in the Valley.

Racer Level System:
Lvl 3 The Scrubs - 25 to 275sc
Lvl 2 The Underground - 300 to 675sc
Lvl 1 The Blacklist - 700sc and up

Racing:
Standard racing will be conducted by racing the person above you on the list or by using the Call Out system. This allows you to race anyone within a range of 200 points below or above you.

Each racer gets to have one car at the Valley. If your car gets impounded, it can be mailed back to you. To race again on the track another modified car would need to be mailed to the Valley.

Races will be featured on the Shady Valley YouTube Channel.

Rankings, Call outs and other information will be shared on the official Facebook group

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
