Struggling with Capcut app

I know some of you watch my videos,so wondering if someone can help me as the videos i look at for help just arent helping.
On utube shorts on a tv,the screen shows the whole short but cropped to centre,on my phone at least it shows on whole screen.
My videos as opposed to shorts on utube are doing the same thing where most other videos are dhowing full uncropped screen.i managed to get one full screen but lost a lot of the picture itself.
If you could look on my utube channel to see what i mean as i probabky havent explained it well here.

Also make sure the camera mode is set to 16:9 or full and not 9:16 or 1:1.

- I spent over an hour trying to sort this before i posted on here,literally just had the time to test this out.works perfectly,funnily enough though i put a few videos up on utube as tests to see how they came out,within a day one had accrued over 150 views????all taken down now — RalphsRacers

So, one thing I have found with using CapCut is that if your phone is horizontal, ie. laying on its side, it won't default to the "shorts" format. When its standing up verticaly it tends to want to do that.
