Switchback Tag Team Run {Cancelled till further notice}
I have an idea for a tournament. It will have an entry event to determine who is fastest and who is slowest and those others in between. There is no prize or status from qualifying. Then comes the teaming up part.
The fastest car will team up with the slowest car. The second fastest with second slowest car and so on down through the whole roster. Each contestant should send in 2 cars to race. So each contestant could be on 2 different teams and paired up with 2 different team mates.
The race will be run using an invention made by the ever inventive Mr. Smitty. When a car reaches the switch back device it will send another car back in the direction from which the first car came. In a couple of days I will show you a video of how this works if you haven't seen it yet. The team with the fastest overall time will be the winner. I have an electronic timer now.
The qualifying runs will be on Sunday August 2nd 2015.
The first competition after qualifying will be on August 9th 2015. This is to give team members a chance to plan strategy.
Entrants so far.

I will be running the first races and the teams will stay intact for the rest of the series..
The type will be street muscle. Any era. I would say the kind you might see out doing mischief on a Friday or Saturday night. No race cars, buses, big trucks (semi tractors). You get the idea.
This is a drilled rivet modified car race. No undrilled cars will be accepted.
No FTE wheels. 57gram weight limit or less. Must fit on regular orange track and no more than 1.3 inches tall.
If any one else wants to host this, you can either make your own switchback device or get one. Or you can just run solo cars on straight or road course track and add up the time for each team.
Also please include $3.50 to the last host for each 2 cars you submit if you want them returned.

The cat and the bug....
They will be modified of course..
Feel free to post your rides.
When you say muscle cars, is that for any era, or just old school? Can a newer Dodge Viper count?
If so, then no FTEs, no problem! Count me in!
Comment: Post Stroller Muscle Cars any era... KandORacing But what I mean is a Viper a muscle car or a sports car?
Vipers are like Vettes they seem to be both. ....Stroller
Well I am still here in Spokane and we have had HOT!! weather for the last ten days. Upper 90s and 100s last Monday it was 112 on my back porch in the shade. Officially it was 105. Got all parts to build my switchback race. It will be a multiple adjustment track. Also it will be a dual level track with one track going out and another returning, either by switchback or just a curve. The starting ramp will be selectable heights allowing for fast and slow racing. The track sections in the middle are adjustable also for making tracks that go up or down. It should be interesting. I will take pictures of it being built so watch for that. The switchback race will be run on it. Please enter it is going to be fun.....Stroller
Well here is a test run of my new switchback track using

The High Road is a typical drag strip, a steep ramp going down to a level flat strip.
The Low Road is all ramp to the finish.
Using this "rail system" allows me to adjust the track to many configurations.
The 3/4 inch plywood is from a liquor store that went out of business and I got some of the shelving for free. Maybe this should be called the "Whiskey Run".
Reposted here, where it belongs....Stroller
.....also Welcome McJiggles9......
Added 2 feet to the track (tracks) and there are now a total of 36 feet, and it runs even smoother.
Can't wait to run this for real.
It sure is a busy busy time. I've got so much going on now, too. The MAD MAX race idea is 3 months away, and even that looks questionable for me. Let alone this race. Siiiggghhhhhh
I'm going set up a switchback demo possibly on Sunday,,,try videoing with my new tablet...we'll see. Also on Saturday Clayfeat and I will be showing some of our stuff at a taping of the Antique Roadshow here in Spokane. I am not very photogenic. lol. I hope they say that what I brought is worth a bunch...
