The Future of Sussex Speedway...

Hey Guys,

I'm sorry for not being very active on here lately...life has been a little weird. As, I think I mentioned, the studio where I've worked for the last 19 years is closing up shop...so, I've been facing a lot of decisions.

I've had several different paths that I could follow, but I've decided to go with the one that, morally, makes the most sense to me. My Mom turns 80 next year, and, needless to say, she's getting a little 'foggy'. So, I'll be moving out of my house and moving in to the downstairs of my Mom's house, to keep an eye on her and help her out however I can. And, for work, I'll be still working freelance for the same company...and, I've been doing a little illustrating, and enjoying it...so, I might see where that leads.

So, Sussex Speedway will no longer be in it's present home...but, I will have room (either in the garage or in the pole barn) to give the track a new home...so, it will still be 'Sussex' Speedway. I've been impressed with what Adriel has been doing with his 3DMakerBot channel on youtube, so, I have some pretty cool ideas for developing a channel of my own.

The next few months will be busy, but, at least I, now, know what I'll be doing. So, you can be watching for race as early as the Fall with the track in it's new locale.

And, one last note, my handle '72 Chevy C10' will, once again be an accurate one. My daily driver has been a '73 Chevy Cheyenne 20 for a few years now...and, I'll still have that truck...but, I recently, found another '72 to play with. I'll be getting this Summer...

Weren't you working on an old Ford Truck 50's awhile back?

  • Yup...that's in the pole barn as well...but, that might have to go to make some room for the 'new' toy — 72_Chevy_C10
