You're gonna need the luck of the Irish for this one. It's a St. Patrick's Day throwdown and only the strongest will survive. This is a royal rumble style elimination race for modified or stock cars.

This race is capped at 30 entries. If you intend to enter, you must comment below before 3/10/20 and include the number of cars you plan to send. Max 2 cars per household, please.

The order of racing will be determined by an entry draft that will be held on March 10. Names will be pulled at random and given an entry number. Your entry number will determine when your car enters race.

The race will start with entry #1 vs #2 and whoever wins keeps racing, the loser is out. This repeats until everyone has raced. The car that wins in the last race is the winner.

Rules & restrictions

  • All brands allowed
  • Modified or stock entries allowed
  • 60g maximum weight
  • 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
  • Limit 2 entries per household
  • No FTEs. Retail axles and wheels only.
  • No Zoom-In casting mods
  • Dry lube only

How to enter

You must post a comment stating how many cars you're entering. This race is capped at 30 cars.

Send your entries to:
Redline Derby Racing c/o Brian Vaughn
PO Box 842
Grove City, OH 43123

Include $5.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Please print and include a Race ID slip with your entry

Prizes

A Redline Derby t-shirt and free return shipping for your entry.

Track

Races will be run on the Redline Derby Speedway track.

Race format and scoring

This is a head-to-head format with cars entered in their draft order (see above). A car stays alive when it wins 2 heats in a row with alternating lanes between runs. The losing car is eliminated, the winning car continues on. The last car that wins after all cars are entered is the winner.

No shows and cancellations

If you pull out of the event after the 3/10 entry draft or your cars don't make the deadline, your entry spots will be given to the next in line and everyone else will move up accordingly. Any changes in entry numbers will be updated on this thread.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for tournament prizes. Offending cars will still race. Prize will go to the runner-up in the case of penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be repaired before the tournament. Cars that break during the tournament will not be repaired or replaced.

In for at least one car.  Dont know if I can manage two but if I think so I'll speak up asap.

EDIT: What am I thinking, put me down for 2 cars, even if i have to send a quick stocker in that's easy enough.

Matt

  • Screw it put me down for two, I'll get something going from L&M to contribute! I bout a vehicle specifically for this race when it was being talked about and ideas tossed around. I'll find another car to make it two total — Mattman213

I'm in for 2!!

No FTEs, this will be interesting. Maybe i'll send the Jaguar i-Pace and sweep the thing easy ;) Although, are ID Wheels considered premium?

  • I wouldn't consider ID axle/wheels premium unless you know they have the nickel axles. To be honest, I'm not sure if wheels can even be "premium." — redlinederby
  • Ill look later at the couple I have and see if they are Nickel or not. I dont think they are but never actually looked! If you send the Ipace, I might have to build a Pink Stocker with retail axles with the sole purpose to avenge the GMS Stockers beat down LOL — Mattman213
  • Ok your good to go, none of my ID cars appear to have nickel axles. — Mattman213

2 for me!

In with two cars please.

In for 1

I am in for 2 cars.....

I don't think ftes r premium considering they come on cars

  • He says no FTE's OR premium axles. Normally it just says premium and FTE's are allowed but for this race Redline is saying no to FTE's as well. Only non Nickel axles this time around. — Mattman213
  • Yeah they were literally a dollar when they came out in retail stores. Nothing premium about them! That said, I do think "No FTEs" was the intention for this event... — WorpeX
  • Yep, thats the whole point of specifically including them in the "not allowed" category. Work some non nickle axles to go fast in this race. My fastest cars are non nickle axle cars. If you can polish nickel axles you can polish non nickle and if you can't polish either...you wont be competitive often — Mattman213
