Third race down...and JDC442 with a win!

Much to the local Texans dismay, a mail in car won the stock class!

We raced 48 cars in stock class, some close racing here and there. Jim mailed me 4 cars to run, two for him and two for his lady friend. All four of the cars made it to the quarter-finals with Jim's GT Racer edging out the competition...a 59 El Camino Johnny Lightning. Everyone was very impressed with the GT...heavy and fast!

Had 8 entries in the modified class...with some heavily modified cars as you can see from the photos! The winner was my friends Super Van ambulance with added weight and FTE wheels (my version still beat his version, but I didn't race)

Not many entries into the slow race, but the winner was an old 55 nomad, slowed down really well at the end of the track!

This was my best race so far, lots of people and lots of enthusiasm which was great to see. Set it up in a different spot this time and it seemed to work better, with the tables forming bleachers! These photos are from practice runs, there were probably 40-50 people milling about racing, watching, etc. It was great.

The owner of the bar is very excited about the racing and will be advertised on their facebook page and local newspaper ad now! Too cool.

So congrats to Jim, he'll be getting a nice prize donated by the VP of Hot Wheels design!

I only got a few pics at the beginning, too busy keeping the racing going. I'll snap a picture of the winner tonight.

enjoy!

Bryan

Dude, that is awesome! Glad to see the races are fun for everyone and it's getting some loyal followers. I think diecast racing is a perfect for bars...just gotta be the right bar with the right clientele. Congrats for all the success! Keep posting those photos. I smell a Redline Derby blog feature in your future.
