With this notes we just want to share about Diecast Racing especially TOMOCI - XTREME CUSTOM in Jakarta (Indonesia). Adult Diecast Racing in Jakarta particularly new, there has not been a year, previously only held by the importer/distributor and limited only to the children. Once the adults started playing this, it turned out pretty good progress, and we got the guidance from our Puerto Rico friends especially Thanks to Larry Wenchy, about how the tracks and run a diecast racing, although other ways are also growing rapidly using other systems and tracks, cause we only using aluminum tracks.

With the race is taking shape also racing teams, such as TOMICA Forum, TDR (Team Diecast Racer), TRF (Team Racing Freaks), CBR (Club Bersama), THR (Team Horree Racing), Takeo Racing Logic, BHR (Bekasi Hotwheels racing), Mr. J (Jawir), TBKM (Team Balap Kampoeng Maenan), Terino, KDRT, Dinodito, Devlin, DAM (Dimas), AG (Andrie Gutz), SMR, JRT and much more that makes this race to be a pretty healthy rivalry between the racers in various cities in Indonesia.

After several rounds of various brands of standard category, with a 12-meter aluminum track, with a start height varies between 2-3meter and a downhill track. Some racers have asked for a modification category, and we start with the name CUSTOM and XTREME CUSTOM Category. For CUSTOM category itself has not been implemented, so the new XTREME CUSTOM category, which distinguishes between XTREME CUSTOM and CUSTOM, only use in the bearings, so the CUSTOM category all possible, add weight, change the chassis, replace the wheel, cut the body, and in any form is important fit in the track and cannot use the bearings. We have searched on Google about using bearing as reference in diecast race, and we have not managed to find an article about this, and it seems we starts the beginning of the race using the bearing (bearing both industrial and Teflon bearing)

We made the race with class TOMOCI XTREME CUSTOM TOP 1000 (max 1000gr), TOMOCI XTREME CUSTOM TOP 100(max 100gr), TOMOCI XTREME CUSTOM TOP 200, TOMOCI XTREME CUSTOM TOP 500 and last TOMOCI XTREME CUSTOM TOP 300. Each race is provided Trophy 1,2, 3, with a total of 5 times equal to 15, 8 trophy which was won by Mr. J and 7 trophy won by TDR (maybe if there are 16 trophies, 8 Mr. J and 8 TDR). Although it has not given a final conclusion, at least give the seriousness of this team for the race. Mr. J consistently using industrial bearing and TDR Team consistently using Teflon bearings are commonly used in Tamiya RC. The other team is not able to climb the podium TOMOCI Mini Racing, even for a car from Puerto Rico also could go to semi-finals. We are using HEAD to HEAD race system with two or three times run on each track in every round and find the best of 2 or best of 3.

From the results of the race 5 times TOMOCI - XTREME CUSTOM, some preliminary conclusions can be taken from us as organizers race not as a participant:

1. Weight is not the main factor to make the car run fast
2. Base metal and plastic base cannot be considered as a reference
3. Each car has an ideal weight and proportional shape, how much weight should ideally be sought, because every car is different (including wheelbase)
4. Determine the altitude start
5. The determination of the type and number of bearings and Teflon bearing, they require patience and a high accuracy in installation
6. Necessary to find the ideal lubricant for each type of wheel (bearing wheels and Teflon bearing)
7. Aerodynamics also needs to be taken into consideration, because we race outdoor (only 1 time indoor)

Hopefully this sharing will give information for diecast racing in the world especially, and the great hope that the racers can also share the experience in TOMOCI - XTREME CUSTOM category. Thank You and keep on RACING

Wow...you guys Rock! You have some serious racing going on there. I've seen a number of your video's and the participation of the people at these races even when it rains is really cool! I really like your track, and I've looked for some material where I live to make one, but it hasn't happened yet. How much faster are the customs versus a stock Hot Wheels Car?

very fast, cos we can not stop it with our hand, stock cars we still can grab it after finish line, custom cars can hurts a lot

the aluminum we use normally for windows frame or for furniture frame, and its powder coated type and here is cheaper compare using orange track

It would really be neat to see the time difference...like the "Two Face" car, one was custom and the other was stock. Maybe in one of your races you could post some time differences to show those who mod cars the advantage it can bring.

awesome!

Impressive, indeed!!

...and we got the guidance from our Puerto Rico friends

Its just a matter of time until this level of modification becomes dominant here in the states. Although I think some of the American 'HW purists' will continue to keep stock, orange track racing alive simply because of the availability of track materials.

Good Luck to all racers!!! and specially to the children that are waiting desperately for weeks to take there car to race!!! Please continue the good job of keeping the adults in there lane!!! Stock is Stock not modified, soon you will start seeing unbelievable sorts of tricks performed in cars that will make them much faster!!! but i know we have a category for these type of cars... but lets keep the stock category with no glue no paint no rivet tampering or wheel modification. If we allow something small it will become a hassle. Good Luck and Thanks

wow... I feel very amature

As long as the Judge keep all stock cars without glue or paint we will have happy kids racing.... soon the Adults will start marking cars changing wheels axles weights and modifying cars and hopefully the judge will keep thos cars in the modified category!!! good luck and happy racing.... Collect ors will become racers and racers will start collecting!!!
