Welcome to the 1st Annual Triple Crown Throw Down Mail-in Race Tournament.

Triple Crown Throw Down will take place at Rush Racing League’s race compound. Racers will be hosted on three tracks the RRL has on site.

An open road course, a drag strip and a mystery course!

The Tracks:
1 Old Rte 49 - Open Style Road Course
2 Eagle Mountain Speedway - 20ft Drag Strip
3 RANDOMIZER - hosts choice - Could be a rally course, could be time trials, outside open track, 6 lane butterfly track, any other track we have. We’ll announce the track a week before we start the series. You have to build for the unknown track, and this is the equalizer!

We are accepting as many that want to enter. We will do a qualifying run on one of the tracks. Lowest time by each driver after 2 passes is where you will qualify.

However, we will make the cut off so the brackets are even. 32 for the tournament is the goal, if we get a ton more we will adjust it. We want as many to race as we can get.

This race series will take about 3 months, the entire winter, so just understand we will be holding your cars for a while.

Entry Details:
$20 to enter
$10 to Mail Back US only
$30 total
If you don’t send the $10 for mail back we will keep your car for future use.

I will not ship internationally unless the builder wants to pay for it and winnings to be shipped back.

All entries MUST be received by November 2nd to be eligible for the tournament. Filming starts November 7th.

Build Rules:
Absolutely no fantasy cars, no concept cars, no hot wheels cars that were made into real cars. No “race” cars, no chevy stockers, and no EVO’s of any casting. No hot rods. If it doesn’t fit the rules it gets shipped back to you. If you don’t know, please reach out to me and let’s talk about your build. I don’t want you assuming it’s legal, and you do all that work for me to ban your car.

Cars only, Rancharo / El Camino are allowed. Every car entered must be a production model from an automobile manufacturer company that was produced for the car you choose. Zero exceptions.

Build Rules: 
-Modified entries only
-70g maximum weight - no 1g grace
-3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
-Limit 1 entry per person - 2 family members limit per house, and each must build their own cars.
-Black plastic wheels only
-No thin wheels like from the Hot Wheels Nash, must be at least a standard width wheel.
-Smoothing the wheels with sanding is allowed
-Light Coning / Hogging is allowed. Just a little off the back is allowed.
-Any Axles allowed
-Axle tubes allowed
-Any secret sauce is allowed - however if the car shows up dripping wet it will be banned
-Builds Based on real cars only
-No Concepts or Fantasy vehicles
-1/64th size and must fit in the standard Hot Wheels Orange track
-Custom painted cars are very encouraged
-No inappropriate images/words on the car
-Painted/Tinted windows are allowed. Please paint the inside of your windows
-Chassis sanding is allowed
-Minor wheel well trimming is allowed, just for clearances, not bigger wheels
-Body and chassis must match their lines
-No outside weights allowed
-All weights must be contained inside the body
-No Bearings or bushings

You can send a back up car, but it must be the same car. No different car replacments. This was if your car breaks, we can just keep you moving with the direct replacment. I will not swap it out if your car is running. Clearly mark which car you want me to race when sending them in and which one is back up.

Additional Event: Social Media Concourse
There will be a Concourse event held via Facebook. Every entry will be entered into the RRL Concourse event online. Where the fans get to vote for your car! Winner(s) of each category will win a prize pack and a little plaque.

Grand Champion of Tournament Prize pack details:
All Prizes, Awards and GC are = to the amount after each place
1st - Grand Prize, Award, Gift Card-totaling $100
2nd - Prize, Award, Gift Card - totaling $75
3rd - Prize & Award totaling - $50
4th - Prize & Award totaling - $25
The amounts may be greater depending on sponsorship support.

Special added bonus - if one car wins every event, a super prize bonus will be unlocked to be announced at the live awards ceremony show.

Tournament Race Track Rules:

Old Rte 49:
4 car Round Robin
1st - 6 points
2nd - 5 points
3rd - 4 points
4th - 3 points

Penalties:
Blocking drivers from finishing: -3
Finishing any way other than on your wheels: -2
Finishing backwards: - 1

Eagle Mountain Speedway:
2 lane drag track
Two races timed - lowest combined time advances until we have a winner.
2 Stage Format
We will race for top 4

Mystery Track:
We will either do a timed event or a points event. That way you know what to expect.
