Utube shorts
I have been putting up mainly shorts and a few videos on utube for the past year or so.my best short took about a year to hit 5000 views,and consisted of a two car race with lane swap.
Yesterday when I was out I bought a 2026 'B' case High-Tail Chaser,put it down a short length of track to capture 5 seconds and I've just woken this morning to find 7,500+ views.
I've done ten shorts of this method now on 2025 'Q' case and 'B' case cars and it surprised me of what was preferred,I ran the new 911 Carrera and that has been avoided like the plague where drift box has done well and even Instan Boost has done better.
I'm honestly not gloating its more a seeing why people think this fantasy car is doing so well. I'm trying to get my original tracks from 24' back up in the loft to race some side to side

I've always seen Shorts as supplemental content to the main long-format videos. Useful for keeping in your subscribers' notifications list in between bigger episodes. Some folks make quite the go of it doing ONLY shorts or compilations of shorts, like DiecastDash, HotWheelsBoys and until this year WeRaceThings (formerly WERaceDiecast)

- I know you said you're in the UK, but here in the US at Dollar Tree (dollar store) there is a cheap drag racing kit for around $5 that has a mechanical indicator you could put to use. Maybe there's similar in your country? — X2Whiskey

Personally I mostly avoid the shorts. I feel like there just isn't enough info in them to be of value to me. They usually consist of one run of a single car, or a deul. And that leaves out any kind of baseline or reference to indicate whether the casting(s) has any real potential.
