I use my Samsung a52, if it's blurry I get the beginning and end to make it fair then just add bits in, sometimes I will use my wife's phone as well
Using an older model iPhone for general usage and a newer model iPad as a.finish line camera.
Samsung Galaxy s24 phone. CapCut app for editing.
gopro 9 & 11
Open shot free editing software
Audacity and a big blue mic for recording
all done on my PC

12 static action cameras that were $49AUD each. The quality is good to a point, then gets a little blurry at a distance. They have water proof cases for the wet races, which sometimes get a little foggy due to the humidity here in Queensland. The cases are excellent as they can be pivoted to get the shot centered.
At some stage I will upgrade to waterproof cameras so the foggy is eliminated.
For editing I use Davinci Resolve which is free and easy to use and by all reports the absolute best suite to use.
Good luck!
When I started, we were trying to find out what was good to use and wish there was somewhere to give us a decent run down on what cameras to use. We are inside with led lights, so keep that in mind. We started using an IPhone. It does good video, you just have to know how to get it in the editor to make the slow motions look the best. It needs to be 120fps. After the video, before you move it to a lap top or editor, make it full speed. If you keep it in slow motion, then try to slow it again, it will look really spotty.
Now we are using a lot of GoPros. A 7 for the start, 10 for the follow and 9s and 10s in the corners and finish. Make sure you do the videos in normal color, not GoPro color. It looks a lot better. And make sure you have a lot of light. Harbor freight is where we got ours. Hope this helps some.

I use 4 Samsung Galaxy A03s (2 with broken screens because I dropped them, personal phone and wifes phone) and 2 other old phones that still work for recording. 30FPS MAX recording on all of them so it gets a bit blurry at times.
Use CapCut on my PC to edit.
Music comes from my vast MP3 Library
I don't do voice over because no one wants to hear my voice.
Lots of lights, simple Daylight LED bulbs and the Silver Dome sockets (like what is used for heat lamps) are cheep and effective if you have the space.
iPhone XR for video and iMovie for editing

Running camera is a Iphone 13, static camea's are Gopro 3's I use a Computer with Movavi editing program for producing videos.
