Vinocksic - Vintage Stocker Classic (Not Finalized) (No Signup Yet)

It isn’t a Stock Car race per se, but rather a race with Hot Wheels Stocker Castings. Let’s breath new life into these Vintage Hot Wheels and enjoy them living out their final days in a real race event.

Maximum Tournament cars is 12, but we will still run it if we have 8 cars. We will allow for a few extra entries (like 14) to allow for no-shows. If more than 12 cars arrive, the bottom few will be benched and possibly used if there is a problem later-on with any of the Tournament cars and/or require Qualification at each track.
At the end of each event, Driver’s will be awarded 25 points for 1st, 18 points for 2nd, 15 points for 3rd, 12 points for 4th, 10 points for 5th, 8 points for 6th, 6 points for 7th, 4 points for 8th, 2 points for 9th, 1 point for 10th, and 0 points for DNFs and 11th and 12th place finishes. Total points will be accumulated and added together with other events.
It will start off with two events at Snow Valley East, the 1st being the classic 12x4 Rotational, and the 2nd being the GRID-6 Formation. I’m going to use these two events to compare the two Tournament types. After this, I will be looking for other host tracks to continue with the 12x4 Rotational Tournament style and give these rides as much fun as possible.
Based on total points earned after all events, Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Plus, there will be awards for the Best in Show for both Restored/Modified and Original Body.
It is assumed that all cars will be wheel swapped & dry lubed. It is up to you if you want to Restore/Modify the body or keep it looking Original. Note: All cars must have a windshield and the body work must look drivable.

I expect to run this in 2025 before Asphalt but after the IDRL 2.0, LeMans, and Formula Zero. Stay tuned!

- 1 of 4 Castings: Torino Stocker, Monte Carlo Stocker, Mirada Stocker, & Frontrunnin' Fairmont
- Must have a windshield and the body work must look drivable
- Limit 1 entries per household
- Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
- Dry lube only

Don't sign up yet, don't build a car, don't send me a car. I will update when I'm ready to run it. Have other events to finish first. I want to get the ideas down so that I can finalized it. How to enter
Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.
There will be no entry fee and currently there is no plan to return cars (arrangements can be made).
Track
Racing will be on the Snow Valley East - Open Road Edition. View track profile and specs
Race format and scoring
Qualify to determine starting positions (12 cars)
1st Tournament (12x4 Rotational): 3x Groups of 4, 8 runs each (24 runs) + Top 3 from each group go on to final round. 2nd from each group go on to semi-final round. The bottom two cars points wise are eliminated (use qualifying for tie breaker). The bottom 4 cars (7th to 10th) do 4 laps (28 total), top car joins the Semi-Finals, remaining 3 finish 8th – 10th. Semi-Finals 4 laps (32 total), top car joins Finals, remaining 3 finish 5th – 7th. Finals 4 laps (total of 36 runs), cars finish 1st to 4th. Award points for the top 10.
2nd Tournament (GRID-6): 7 runs down the track in 2 Groups of 6 (14 runs in total), award points for top 10.
Points awarded at the end of the event for the top 10, just like the Formula $pecial.
Race points from Tournament 1 & 2 are added together and the top car is the winner! BUT, likely they the cars will be heading off to another, yet undermined, track to continue accumulating points. Other Track Hosts will likely run the 12x4 Rotational.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
