What do you call non-mainline cars?

Just trying to get some terms clear in my own brain.

When I read "mainline cars" that means the standard issue $1 cars, right? The ones we find all over the place.

Then there are the cars over $1 - the Hot Ones, the color changers, Hollywood specials, Star Wars cars, etc...the list goes on. And I'm just talking the 1:64 scale here.

Is "non-mainline" the best thing to call them, or does that category have a different name...like "Collector cars" or "Special line cars" or something like that?

If someone told you they'd be giving you a "mainline" car, you'd know what to expect.

If someone told you they'd be giving you a "non-mainline" car, it could be anything, but at least you'd know it wasn't a basic $1 car...right?

Usually what's on the card....Real Riders etc., also, I don't think you see the same car in the mystery pack hanging on the mainline pegs. I believe they cost the same as the mainlines.
