What happens to a build post race?
I was wondering what racers do with their builds once they return home. Do they go back to the chop shop....saved for another race in the future or given away/retired. I believe I will categorize them according to weight, and if the car was competitive, save it for future races. Then again, if it was a sled...chop shop or giveaway.

Well that's leads into an idea of mine, and me being a rookie. maybe it's been done before. How about a race for builds that did not win, a 2nd Chance Showdown, with two classes....40G and under and another 40G+ to 57G. It would give some cars another shot at glory and the time we spend building them another run down a track....just a thought.

I haven't entered that many races but when my cars return home I usually just put them on a shelf. The times I did enter, I often lost wonderfully so I have not expectation to re-enter them again. Every race is a trial-and-error of modding and performance, which is fun but tends to be very disposable.
Keeping your mods sorted by weight and other attributes is a good idea. Just because it maybe lost once before doesn't mean it'll lose again...who knows.
Those cars, lining the side of my track, are mostly all old racers. I will occasionally reuse a car, but, they are mostly just one-shot deals :)
