Wiesmann GTMF4 casting
So i got a Wiesmann GTMF4 for my anniveraru present, not very much. Have they been raced or modded before, its a SIKU, one wheel seems to be rubbing a bit so might take apart and change. Might do a bit of a paint job as well. What are peoples opinins please

I’m going the other way on this one. Keep it as is. It’s a nice thought from your wife, sentimental. You’re a lucky guy.
Cool casting too, I never heard of it.
- It cost equivilent nearly $4 dollars at recent exchange rates. If i said to my wife today which car did you buy me, she wouldnt know????. We got it from a thrift shop, i think she saw me looking at it.I bought her a little glass elephant as its our 14 th anniversary and supposedly ivory. — RalphsRacers
- cool story. as her the color, and do it up so she will always know which on she got ya — dr_dodge
our 40th in Jan, I built 2 funny cars

So i decided to go for the paint job. The rivits were smaller, 3mm drill bit, though it still takes the isual screw to put back together. The axle is much thicker, will put side by side, so im not replacing them, just paint job. Im thinking a nice pink and then might see if there is a facebook group for Weismann cars and see if i cant upset a few people????
- I love making the purists scream! (polish the axles while is apart and a light plastic safe oil (lebelle) will keep them from rusting away — dr_dodge
- Will try that, thankyou — RalphsRacers
The dashboard and windows were rivited in as well
- You got the green light to dive into this casting, fantastic. I’m better at wheel swaps than paint so that’s what I would do. Have fun. — alva1370
- Some other brands have that 1mm axle... Maisto comes to mind... — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
So ive stripped the car, and done initial paint, detailing will come next. Thought id go for somthing completely different.
- looking good! — dr_dodge

I think its finished. Might number her and bit of graphite and maybe weight. For a sporty little looker she is quite slow

I'd never heard about Siku or Weismann. Apparently in the States both are rare and pricey. What a shame, because they both make really cool stuff.
Yours definitely deserves a better paint job. And while it's apart you might as well do tubes and a wheel swap. Looks like a decent shape and wheelbase for racing. I think you have a unique and awesome looking project on your hands. Have fun.
