WorpeX.net Year 1 Finale!

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

It's hard to believe that it's been one year already! During that time i've made a lot of great friends here on the redline derby, built the WorpeX.net website, participated in two mail-in tournaments, shot a bunch of videos, became a track host for RLD and had a whole lot of fun! Next year, I plan to do it all again! Perhaps even more!

However, now is the time to look back on the past events and enjoy them all one last time... in a winners battle! The 16 top cars from the most important tournaments this year will all battle it out in one last showdown before the new year begins and we reset the worpex.net rankings! Let me introduce the cast...

2011 Full Draft

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

The first tournament to kick off the WorpeX.net ranking website was the Full Draft! The largest tournament in the tracks history, consisting of somewhere between 500 and 1000 cars. The top 200 in this event were the lucky ones to get their own profile on the website! It took weeks to finish the event, but in the end, it was a clean sweep for the two FTE's - "Electric Eel" (Chevy Flashsider). Full results for this event can be found here: http://worpex.net/eventresults.php?even ... LL%20DRAFT (text only).

Public Choice Tournament

The public choice tournament was an 8 round event with 8 cars per round. The community at large chose the competitors to compete here and they chose well! Two cars ended up at the top after the grand finals: A Cadillac V-16! Video of the grand final can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NsO4C8BfQU

Featherweight Challenge Series I

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Representing WorpeX.net at the Featherweight challenge was a Super Comp Dragster (and two other random cars which didn't do well). These cars placed in 14th and 17th respectively out of a cast of 62 cars! Such a terrific performance demands that these two become part of this grand finale and so here they are! Series points for this event can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... 0eUE#gid=0

8 other Random Events

When 4 top car manufacturers face off against each other... only Chevy can win apparently!

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

In an effort to determine if car age matters on cars, a brand new model squares up with its well raced counterpart! The result? It can go either way!

"Way 2 Fast", "Veteran and the Rookie" Winner

If I understand this right ..This is a big event you run from your pool of cars and not related to the RedLine Derby points..right?

Or it's like a whole year break down of info on races from both mail ins and your own stuff.

Thanks WorpeX. You are definitely an asset to RedlineDerby.

(And don't sell yourself short, your cars finished 9th and 11th in FEATHERWEIGHT CHALLENGE Series 1!)
