Yellow Track extra wide... Matchbox ?

I got [9] plain yellow track sections with some other parts I wanted ... they are at least 1/16" wider than any other track sections I have, I had to make home made connectors because no purple connectors fit.

are they matchbox ? ... I know some of them are wide...

I haven't seen MB track but it could be.  I have several old and new MB Superfast and they are all way to wide to fit in the HW track.  Had me wondering why they made "Superfast" cars that wide if you couldn't race them.

Smitty, thanks for the offer.  If you know a kid that might like it I'll find those cars and send them to you to go with the track.  Let me check the overall width first to make sure they'll fit.

the track's flat base is 1. 25 plus wide...

I measured a SuperFast Lamborghini & the width of the rear wheels is 1-7/16". They must have made a track wide enough for this wouldn't you think?  The Prowler is wide too but I can't find it to measure.
