Your Most Expensive Car

I've only been collecting HW's since January, and mostly pickup cars at Thrift Stores, and from local individuals looking to unload their stockpile. Most cars I get for .25 a piece and others I pay 1-1.59 per car. But recently I was looking for something special...and bought it today. It's a early 1970's edition Matchbox Superfast Rolls Royce #69....I won the bid for a little over $12 bucks, but with the shipping its just over $20 dollars. O well, I have a birthday coming soon ...so what's you most expensive car?

If you'r going by what I have paid and not worth mine could be any of the HW membership cars. I think it's 25 bucks to join up to get the car.

I used to pay premium prices for THs, SEs, & VW Buses...but not since I've become involved in the ePay.

I have the same car I got new in the 60's. It is a bit more played with though. I think it was about $.29

Yup, those too. Here's both new and original I've owned since new.

Stickers fell off the originals long long ago.

OK, I have some Roth cars (JL) along with many I have paid up to $20 something + for on the shelves. These are not the racers but the show collection. 14 shelves with cars 9 or 10 accross and 3 deep. The shelves are also the door into the other side of the basement. There are also 8 Jammer cases full so far, not counting the cars that go out with the Big Track, another 70 or so.

Wow, you guys are serious. Most I've spent on a single car is $3 for the Weinermobile at the Nashville convention last year. I think the most I could spend a sleep at night is $5 - yes, I'm that cheap.

Btw, great topic!
