Custom Carnage 4

We are back after a epic Custom Carnage 2024. It was souch fun we are ready to do it again. If you missed out last time get your cEs in. If you joined last time we welcome you back and good luck
format and rules will be the same as other events.
It will be a bracket style races based on time trials. 4 cars racing 4 laps. Alternating positions each lap.
I am looking for a field of 32 to 64 cars
I will take as many cars as we can get and will adjust accordingly. If this means a play in tournament B4 we start the actual Custom Carnage that is what we will gladly do. As our goal here is to give every car a chance to shine in our tournaments. And have everyone enjoy seeing there cars race on the Comet Tail.
As before I will be willing to mail your cars back. I do hate to ask but postage is expensive. I ask $10 for return shipping if you would like your cars sent back. Also $3 donation fee to help cover prizes ECT. All $ left over will be used in prizes. The $3 donation in NOT required to enter this event.

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 55g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only
• No rubber wheels

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 7/20/2024. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 7/27/2024. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Race format and scoring

This will be a bracket style Tournament. Bracket and seeding will be based on time trials.

Top 2 cars in points in each heat will advance to the next round.

Standard points 5 first 3 second 2 for third 1 forth 0 DNF

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all race

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
