Ok here is my first attempt, not for speed but for looks.
Front wheel swap
Window cut out
Spoiler trimmed
working on eliminating casting lines

Not sure what to use for paint stripping? Chemicals, or a sand blaster?

Great start TE!

I've used Aircraft Paint Stripper to remove paint. Just gotta' be patient.
I could see sandblasting causing damage to the surface.

Paint Stripper works for me.

Looking good!

It seems like any paint stripper from the hardware store will work.

Here's the RLD tutorial on parting a car which includes the paint stripping. Ten minute soak in the stripper and it falls right off the bone. http://www.redlinederby.com/blog/custom ... your-cars/

And welcome to Redline Derby! Thanks for sharing your mods and hope you have fun while you're here.

I haven't been completely stripping the paint on mine. I just wash with dish detergent and steel wool and paint. I have had good luck so far.

A repainter told me that easy-off oven cleaner will work.

Yes, wear gloves. Even if it doesn't bother you while handling the cars it probably will later.

Oven cleaner can't be much more healthy.

If yo strip the paint completely it helps the details, like door handles and seams between doors, tail lights, ect...too much paint build up and you lose the details.

ok, the aircraft stuff is amazing!!! I'll never sand another car.
I also added bigger meats out back. Now I need to prime it and decide on a color.
