Need help with track build, last hope

Jump to first page

Just got the email from Slanman that my 45° turns shipped and should be here by the 27th

Edit: I just got the tracking for my 3 to 2 lane mergers as well. I will post pics and videos in this thread of the track once it is setup for the RC cars.

I tried the dual single lane curve and the cars just fly off of it because the side walls are too low. I put a Crash Racers curve in at the first turn and I am happy with the way everything is for right now. Thank you everyone for the help.

Ordered the wrong sized mergers, totally my fault. I am going to make them work though. Still waiting for my 45° curves. It looks like there has been a logistics problem and my order ended up in New Jersey.

Well, I got my parts in but, I hit another snag. My hot water heater is on the fritz and I need to move the tables so I can get at the water main and circuit breaker box. I'm obviously not happy about this.

  • Look at brightside. Since you have to take it apart you will know how to improve setup as you put back together. I do feel your pain as far as demo goes. Especially knowing you have to put it back together. Oh yeah, sorry about that hot water heater issue.. life loves the curveball. Good luck with everything can't wait to see new setup. — 1Jungle_Falls

Just a tease before I have to tear everything down to get at my water main and breaker box.

Hi!
i know the problem.
here is something that could help perhaps.

to fix the straights is verry effectif. And that helps to stabilize the 180s

This is extremely close to what I am looking for. Thank you so much

This is my best setup so far. Plenty of room at the start now to stand and not feel claustrophobic.

  • Dude, that's a sick setup. The evolution continues! — JBlotner42

  • Those. 45° turns are sweet. Nice long start. Can't wait to see it in action. — 1Jungle_Falls

Here is a short video of what my friends and I agree is a good configuration.

I've been tweaking the track like crazy. My buddy and I are going to work on it tonight. We just aren't getting the speed we want. I realize it is nearly 62 feet long and I want to be able to follow the cars with a camera. I've been working on my camera setup also as some of you are aware and were watching some of my tests. I am still so frustrated. The track is warped way too much and the card are loosing too much speed bouncing off the walls. The stock track connectors suck! Almost every place a track connects there is a crack that makes most cars launch either out of control or off the track just not nearly as often as when this post started.

  • I have the same issue with my track, especially because the individual track pieces shrink or expand depending on the temp of my garage. — JBlotner42
