Racing Champions Cup Series

Meant to be reminiscent of NASCAR’s Chase for the Cup, 16 of the fastest Racing Champions brand cars will battle it out at five tracks across the US for supremacy. Racing for bragging rights AND A TROPHY!!!

Only The 16 fastest entries received will qualify for the series!!!

Cars that do NOT qualify for the series will be sent to MnM Diecast Racing for an event THEN shipped to RTR Diecast Racing for ANOTHER event! You can beat that guys!!!

Rules & restrictions

• Stock and modified entries allowed
• 50g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entry per household
• Retail wheels . FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only
• Cars MUST be Racing Champions Brand. No winners circle, hot wheels, matchbox, action, etc.
• Cars must have roof number, door numbers and sponsor. 
• RACING CHAMPIONS race cars only, no trucks.
• How do you know if the car is a Racing Champions brand car. Flip it over, look at the base, if it doesn't say "Racing Champions", it isn't a Racing Champions...

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Sunday, 7/25/2021. First race in series is scheduled for Wednesday, 8/4/2021. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $8.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

 Dec - Race 5 - Boomtown Speedway - hosted by Low Country Diecast Racing League

Race format and scoring

One entry per team. All entries will qualify at Bay City Soeedway. Top 16 teams will advance. Those entries that do not qualify Can be returned if desired. Send in the comments soon so that we can get the cars to you before they ship out for Sout Dakota.

Brackets (Heats) will be be determined by Random draw.  Round one at each track will consist of 4 heat races. Each car will rotate positions for each lap. The top two cars with the most points after four laps will  will move on the second round but the car with the most points will get 1 pt.
Round two will consist of two heats of 4 laps each. Top two cars move on to the finals but only the heat winner will receive a point.
Round 3 (Finals) Will be 8 laps, drivers will race in each position twice. The car with the most points will be named winner.

1st place will be awarded 4 pts, 2nd place 3 pts, 3rd 2 pts and 4th 1 pt.  Most points possible per track will be 6 pts.

Points will be accrued following each track and the winner will be crowned at the conclusion of the series after the race at Boomtown Soeedway.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will NOT be allowed to qualify or participate in the event.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
