Track
Races will be run on the Quest Speedway track.
Race format and scoring
This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two races in a row. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.
The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.
Bracket seeding will be random but will try to avoid having an entrant race themselves, especially in the first round.
Cars earn a point per race win...points are cumulative over 12 months.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 2g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for tournament prizes. Offending cars will still race. Prize will go to the runner-up in the case of penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be repaired before the tournament. Cars that break during the tournament will not be repaired or replaced.
Discussion
Count me in for this. Builders choice on casting yeah?
I want to Race..... Count me in for February
Is there room for me? Two cars?
- Only 1 car per Racer...is the other car a different team? There is room I'll put you in and let me know about the 2nd car — LeagueofSpeed
- I'm confused your rules say 2 per person — NDeavers80
- I used the template...so I just missed it...thanks for the catch — LeagueofSpeed
- Oh ok... so one car? I'm going to send my super cars at the same time — NDeavers80
- Sounds like a plan — LeagueofSpeed
One car. I'll send one for next month if that's okay.
I would like to enter this event. If my build is not ready or not wanting to move I'll enter a stock car.
- Ok...you're in — LeagueofSpeed
- Thank you. My first event ever — Mayfield41
- Welcome aboard!!! — LeagueofSpeed
RLDRL Round 2 car is on its way. Man I had a tough time this go around and eventually had to stop overthinking things and just make it happen. My original build for this race decided to have some issues that Im still chasing so I tossed this ugly POS into the mix in its place.
Im calling it the Boogeyman (Had John Wick on in the background when I first started this thing and its kinda been a nightmare ever since honestly)
This ugly POS is a Matchbox Superfast 308 GTB that I got out of a $.50 loose car pile at a local Flea Market. Long story full of mishaps short, I attempted to get some speed out of it stock but it wasnt having it so I drilled it apart and got to work. I should have left it in the garbage pile after I got a little happy with the sanding drum in the rear but I had some smooth large wheels so I kept at it. Issue after issue came and went and it finally rewarded me by 1) staying together and by 2) screaming down my track making some decently consistent passes. Would have liked to have painted it before mailing it out but didnt want to risk missing the deadline so Im sending it in all its ugly ugly glory. Thankfully it rolls better than it looks and Im hoping the bad luck is gone and it all pays off by going a round or two!
I wouldnt at all be surprised if a wheel falls off mid race at some point and it decided to leave the track entirely. This thing is nuts.

- One to watch... — LeagueofSpeed
- Once again, if it goes a round or two Ill be happy but Ide definitely keep an eye on it, never know what that psycho will do next! — Mattman213
Excited and curious how my car will do. Might determine if I enter anymore races.
- Dont do that! The more you race the more fun you have and the more "worth it" the selecting/farming/modding/testing/mailing/watching becomes! — Mattman213
We will run the RLDRL tonight...Good Luck to all!!!!
Excited to see how this goes.
Just a heads up...I messed my back up Saturday afternoon and haven't run the cars yet...my first time dealing with this type of ailment...on the mend and hopefully Racing soon.
- Ooof. Rest up and roll when you can, brother. — redlinederby

- Oh man, back pain/issues is no joke...hope you feel better soon bud. — Go_Time
