Absolutely frustrating!!! I'm now into my third build for this event. The first two builds were P.O.S.'s. Would be like sending a turtle to a rabbit race. Complete waste of time, inventory and patience. At this point I don't know how many more I'll build before I call it quits this month.

  • Sorry to hear that — NDeavers80
  • I dont know how many builds have gone down the crapper over here. I also can tell you quite a few of them ended up being speed demons after a little tweaking so dont give up on them too soon! The Ferrari I wont RLDRL with earlier in the year was a complete failure and ended up being a screamer with nothing more than some fine tuning! — Mattman213
  • Hang in there Mike. Your Super Bee ran really good at Red Pill Hill, so you're definitely on the right track, no pun intended. I screwed up my build for Red Pill Hill an hour before I had to shipit, so I just grabbed a fast car, weighted it and did a half-assed graphite job. Never even popped the rivets. I did terrible, but there were 4 others who did worse than me, so it wasn't a total humiliation lol. Like Voxxer Racing says, "If I don't win, I learn". So every race is valuable. Just keep plugging bro.. — Peter_Bee
  • its funny. these builds are going together without any problem. like they were meant to be built. the speeds just not there. — CrazyEights
  • I feel your pain. The wheels spin awesome until I mount them back onto the chassis. I might as well have used super glue on the wheels. But been trying new things and new products. Hoping this month is better showing on my part. — Mayfield41
  • I doubt one person in this hobby hasn’t felt your pain and I’m definitely one of them. Takes awhile to build a car, the cost of weight and products. Only to get average results and have to start over. Just keep working and trying new things. It will get better little by little. — BlueLineRacing

I'd love to participate if there is still room!

I need to bow out.  Too many commitments this month.  Sorry!

Gstackert will be rolling in with a corvette... hoping she can introduce me to my first round 2.

I just dropped my car for this event and it went boom. So Am not going to fix it. I will not be in this race. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all.

Due to an ongoing personal issue I'm having to deal with, I need to withdraw from October's Redline Derby Event. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I have gotten way behind on regular day to day life...all while still trying to teach two kids via zoom virtual learning.  I apologize but I will not be able to send a car in for this race. Good luck racers!

Bring me up to "speed" on the RLDRL a little ... are there finals of any kind for the monthly winners?

  • It's a points series so I'm not sure if there are any finals...but probably. LoS has say so on that, and plans might have changed since the start. There are certainly monthly winners as each race is its own and counts as a victory. — redlinederby

Shipping this thing out today.  Being the race is on my Birthday weekend I set out a handful of castings and said "Im gonna build them all" and the quickest of the bunch would make the trip.

Instead...I finished one of them.  Barely.

I took this beater that I had started on months ago and decided I didnt like where it was going (ran out of room in the front wheel wells, chassis broke in the back etc) and dusted it back off.  Went retro-racer with it, added some gold Ultra Hots and then touched up the beater body and cleared it.  May not have anything for the big dogs this go-around but Im happy with how the car turned out.

Matt

  • Looks good — NDeavers80
  • Bitchin' - Love that casting and sharp with them UHs. It looks mean and fast so that's half the battle. — redlinederby
  • Yeah I try to make cars that appeal to me looks and speed wise. This one may not be my fastest but when it comes home itll go on my shelf. — Mattman213
