Here's Car #2. This is a mock up. Ferrari 458 Italia. It's getting some bodywork to fit in some new wheels. A new chrome race engine from an Acura NSX.

Sweet, I did slot of testing this weekend on my 25' track. Amazing how many cars are under 35g stock.
Got a group of my fastest and then started some mods while testing to see how they performed.
Now for some testing on the 50' track in the next week or two.
Some real surprises during testing...
Third car is coming along nicely. I've got the pieces fitting together here. Just need to bolt it all together. After taking this photo, while working on the chassis to lose some weight, I slipped with the Dremel and ruined one of the front wheels. Of course I didn't learn my lesson and while grinding something else away, I slipped and ruined one of the rear wheels. I've made down to 34 grams though. With a metal chassis and body.

i've taped the wheels before cutting, but the tape's glue may stick to the tire, and i found out the rubbing alcohol may disolve the plastic... i call it a draw.... dremal with care !
I used this car to round out the team. Made it! 4 Featherweight racers.
I got a chance to test them today,and mostly they suck. Less than a month to the deadline. Back too the drawing board.
After making the Thunderstreak Indy car slower I realized that the wheels that I had removed spun very very well. So I stuck them on the ItaliaCougar.
The ItaliaCougar turned out to be slow as well. Now that a different Thunderstreak has made it to the Top 8 in the first race, I can only wonder what could have been.
Can't blame you for the engine change. Those I-tal-yon engines can be finicky!
