The Shock Absorber... car stopper
Used a plastic 4" blank cover trimmed to fit the DRAG TRACKS connector slot, drilled a bunch of 1/16" hole where I wanted the thing to bend 90* , heated it along the line of holes with a candle, clamped 1/2 under a chunk of flat stock, bent the other 1/2 90*, taped a piece of 1" soft foam to a piece of 1/2" firm foam with chrome duct tape... Glued them to the vertical... Will tape them to the unit after the glue sets up...
The unit was sanded a little small so it slides in and out of the DRAG TRAX connector slot smoothly. 2 slots were angle cut into the center of the vertical to anchor the elastic [I added another and used an existing hole] to a screw, washer and nut that you drill and install where you want it...
This creates a 3 process shock absorber, the 1/2" foam absorbs it's share, the 1" foam absorbs it's share. the unit slides back pulling on the elastic for the third... Auto reset !
The unit slides in and out of the connector slot ;
