Welcome to the PowerUp Pass Summer Speedrun — racing for a cause.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 7/18/26 - With how many racers are joining this event. I will be filming this over a few weeks time. So if you wont make the deadline....don't worry. Send them in when you can. As long as I recieve them within a reasonable time. If you have questions....ASK
This special event isn’t just about speed… it’s about supporting something truly meaningful in our community.
All proceeds from this race will go directly to the Idaho Ballroom Academy Legacy Scholarship Fund, supporting over 50 local students as they grow through dance, mentorship, and confidence-building experiences — and as one of the volunteer DJs for their events, I’ve seen firsthand how much confidence and joy it brings to these kids. We’re honored to race in support of such an incredible organization that strengthens both kids and community. Here is a link -IBA Legacy Scholarship Fund.
Entry fee is $5 per car… and if you feel inspired to toss in a little extra, it all goes straight to the scholarship fund. Fast cars, big hearts.
Now, onto the competition…
Each racer may submit UP TO TWO CARS, and every entry will receive TWO official runs from the pole position, giving everyone a fair shot at the cleanest and fastest run possible.
This is a true speedrun event: No traffic. No interference. Just one racer, one track, and the clock.
And don’t worry — for this race, the course will be fully optimized for pure speed:
The infamous BUMPS will be REMOVED
Smooth sprint conditions
Official start and finish gates for the cleanest timing yet

The track will appear different for this event.

Race format and scoring
- This event will be run as a solo speedrun time trial, with one car on the track at a time.
- Each car will receive two official runs from the pole position.
- Times will be recorded from start to finish using the official timing system.
- A racer’s fastest run out of the two attempts will count as their official final time.
- Only the racer’s fastest run will be shown in the video.
- Rankings will be determined by overall fastest time.
Tiebreakers
- In the event of a tie among the top 6 racers, each tied racer will receive one additional solo tiebreaker run from the pole position.
- The fastest tiebreaker run will win the tie. If the racers remain tied after the tiebreaker run, the race host will make the final decision.
-
If the racers remain tied after the solo tiebreaker, the tied racers will face off in a head-to-head sudden death race. The winner of that race will win the tie.
-
If more than two racers are tied, they will race together, and the highest-finishing racer will win the tie.
The race host has final say in all race decisions.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
