Races will be run on the Bootleg Run track.
Race format and scoring
This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two races in a row. Cars will alternate lanes between each race...car's will get one do over per round...2 failed runs will be a DNF.
The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.
Bracket seeding will be random but will try to avoid having an entrant race themselves, especially in the first round.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 2g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for tournament prizes. Offending cars will still race. Prize will go to the runner-up in the case of penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be repaired before the tournament. Cars that break during the tournament will not be repaired or replaced.
Discussion
hmm I have a bunch of pretty quick Open Wheelers... Way 2 Fast, Shadow Jet, El Ray Special to name a few. Also picked up a pretty quick Turboa recently with Ultra Hots that looks real quick. Might send that. Also have been thinking of swapping out the wheels on Lionhart (again) with FTEs, i've sent that car to a few RLD tournaments and its been terrible haha
Interested. I have enough cars to support me, EP and, DB. Do I need to keep the OG sillouhette? 1 stock 1 mod each. Put us in 4 6.
- You can race any two you want...two stock or two modified or as you asked...1 of each — LeagueofSpeed
- ...and yes maintain orginal silhouette — LeagueofSpeed
- Ok gr8 — SavageSpeeder
- We'll do 1 of each I will mod 3 for us — SavageSpeeder
The Formula 5000 was a contender last year...but Bootleg Run took it's toll on those exposed wheels...so a new FTE package will be installed in hopes of taking the crown!!!
These are legal castings this year and moving forward.
Shadow Jet...Carbide...Rocket Oil Special...Jet Threat 3.0...Soo Fast and Rat-ified
These two are on there way to the Workshop...two Black Wall era castings
Vulture was eligible last year...but no one raced it.
These are from the 1969 Gran Prix series...the Shelby Turbine...got a good deal on them...sending the blue one to a friend and will be modifying the red one
Is Salt Shaker legal?
- It's an oddball...but I'd let it in the field — LeagueofSpeed
- Cool it will be my stock entry... it's already heavy and fast — SavageSpeeder
- Just watch the 50g rule — LeagueofSpeed
Dixie Gran Prix 2 is an open field...so we'll race as many as show up
Just wanna make sure that Turboa is definiately okay? Its basically just an indy car with a snake on it. I'm pretty set on that car going out! The second one is a toss up.
What about Track T?
- I'd let Track T race...don't want to get to many Hot Rod castings in the field...but I'd accept Track T — LeagueofSpeed
The Legion and Outlaw Racing will be ready...looking forward to the action!!!
