What's good way to pack one car for shipping?
When sending out just 1 car, how do you pack it up for shipping?
Discussion
Go to Dollar Tree or what ever and get a Small box for $1.25 If doing Bubble wrap envelope then make sure entry is well wrapped and protected.
Tic Tac container. No kidding.
Two cars will fit in there, and a packing peanut between the wheels keeps the axles safe.
You can do the same with a Dollar Tree bubble mailer. Tape a couple of popsicle sticks underneath the car, wrap it in bubble wrap, put it in the envelope. The reason for the popsicle sticks is in case of impact during shipping. Any shock from dropping or mishandling (which we all know NEVER happens) will be transmitted into the solid body of the car, rather than the fragile axles.
I use Dollar Tree plastic crayon boxes. 3 for $1.25. Wrap cars in bubble wrap first. Some hosts are now saying they either won't return the boxes or will charge more for returning them. In this case, I wrap in bubble wrap and tape down to the bottom of the shipping box. I do NOT recomment mailing in bubble mailer envelopes as they can get caught in the sorting machines and will either tear open or damage your car. Both of which have happened to me.
A good handful of articles over in the Shipping & Handling tag in the forum.
A cheap container from a dollar store is what I always used but if you're looking for even cheaper, putting your car in a Bubble Wrap Burrito™ that's stuffed in a mailer never failed me.
I usually pick up a 3-pack of snack containers from the dollar store. Usually costs me 1.75$cad...then I'll put them in a bubble mailer. I use a small business account to ship, I I've got standard weights that I can choose when I ship. One car will get bubble wrapped or packing peanuts for the trip
I'm going to look at the dollar tree tomorrow...thanks for all the help

Many people will ship the car in those bubble wrap envelopes. For me I'll usually wrap the car in bubble wrap then put them in the envelope
