Mustang Memorial 2022 - FULL ROSTER

This event is to help raise money for Paw Justice in NZ and is only for the ‘65 Mustang Fastback model. You choose whether you want something shiny, rat rod or race car with your custom paint and wheels but you can't add any weight. This means it will come down to how good you are at building, not how much weight you can add to it.

Winner takes all the cars but there will be some other prizes available as well.

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• Stock weight
• Stock size of the 65 Mustang Fastback, don't add anything out the front or sides
• Limit 1 per builder, max 2 per household entries
• Any non-fantasy wheels (no coloured wheels, must be black)
• Any lube as long as it doesn’t come off/drip onto the track
• Must be stock weight with custom paint, but paint can be any style you want
• Numbers optional
• $10NZD donation to Paw Justice as entry fee

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 12/2/2022. Racing is scheduled for Friday, 12/9/2022. Races will start being posted as soon as possible after that date, as is convenient for the host. The total entries will determine the length of the event.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry. Must include your proof of donation to get address and your entry won't be confirmed till then.

You will NOT get your entries back. Entries will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Race format and scoring

This will be a four cars at a time race. Currently the field is limited to 32 entries but this may change at the hosts discretion.

2nd place 4pts
3rd place 2pts
4th place 1pt
DNF 0PTS

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 2g over the stock vehicles weight to account for variance in scales and any minor body modifications.

Only the '65 Mustang Fastback model is valid for this series.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for the race

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Prizes

All cars plus a winners custom designed, exclusive t-shirt for the overall winner.

There will be some additional prizes not related to winning the race, that will be announced soon.
