- Day late and a dollar short (literally). Ok so a friend of mine sent me one of these gas monkey's and it came in the mail last week. Dollar General had hot wheels/matchbox on sale .50 each minimum purchase 2. So I hit this Dollar General that had 4 hot wheels displays in their store. One of the demos had not even been opened just sitting on the end cap with cars packed in them. Look what was in there? A gas monkey garage corvette. I could've gotten it for .50 but instead paid a dollar (a day late). I know that the collectors think this is sacrilege but I'm gonna crack one of these.
