*The track is changing a bit. I'll be posting updates.
Race format and scoring
This will be a points-based tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only if it finishes in first or second place of each group. Cars will race 4 laps, and rotate clockwise. Cars will face off in a sudden death round if there's a tie. Semi-Finals & Finals sudden death round will move to best of 3 laps.
Points are as follows - 1st - 5 | 2nd - 3 | 3rd - 2 | 4th - 1 | DNF - 0
Qualifying position and points earned will determine starting positions.
*The Final round will be 8 laps.
The car that obtains the most points will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.
Bracket seeding will be determined by a qualifying session. 2 laps per car with the fastest lap of the 2 being the final qualifying time.
Penalties/DNF
*This is a minimally modified tournament. Only one casting is allowed (Indy 500 Oval). The weight that is added can't be seen visually. Stock wheels and axles only. Dry lube only. No exceptions.
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for the tournament.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
