Chicken--I like it!  This is actually what I had thought was going to happen originally before I caught on to the fact that there were two PARALLEL tracks, ha-ha-ha.  LET THE CHAOS BEGIN!!!

What will the angle of the ramps be?

Yes...chicken. Much better :) Smash and go!

Although I'd argue that if your car manages to stay on the track you should get a bonus point, so +2.

Not sure if the mid-point line would work because there's no guarantee that the cars would meet in the middle. One car could be way faster and get to the otherside and kill all on one side. Plus I think that plays into strategy...do you build a faster car to get a quick attack, or a beefy car that is slower but can tolerate more?

Maybe just points based on how the cars land?

  • +1 if your car gets knocked off the track but lands on its wheels
  • +1 if your opponent gets knocked off the track
  • +2 if your car stays on the track and your opponent is off the track
  • +0 if both cars stay on the track

So in a case when both cars fall off the track, you'd both get +1 regardless, but then another +1 if you land on your wheels. In the case where neither car leaves the track, no points are awarded, redo.

I think the midpoint is good, since it would determine a winner even if they both stayed on (if one is that much faster, so be it); unless you just want to watch these cars get killed, that is.  };D  But depending on the build(s), it could take any NUMBER of runs for someone to come off.

I guess I'm just unsure how a midline would work. So there's a line in the middle and whichever car is furthest from the line you get a point.....so if I make a fast car and passes that line, hitting the other car on their side of the track, and neither of us leave the track - I get a point?

So there would be points awarded just for having a faster car? I guess I'm seeing this type of thing as rewards for violence only, not about speed. But it's worth a shot to try and see if it makes a difference.

The speed aspect is what the midline is for violence is the bonus......Evil ED
