The post edit button was very faint, but I found it.
Liked the automatic image resizing!
I know a lot of you have checked out the new site at least in passing but for those of you that want to help out more, you can try to complete the following "quests" and let me know what you experienced, both good and bad.Anyone that completes all those quests will receive some RLD stickers.
- Change your password and login (use the Forget password link)
- Upload an avatar to your profile
- Make a new topic post in any category and include an image and link in the post
- Send a private message to "redlinederby"
- Give a "Thumbs Up" comment on any post or reply
- Subscribe to private message alerts to receive PM emailsBonus points to anyone that tries any or all of those quests on a phone or tablet!
Brian, I completed all these tasks very quickly and easily. Although I did have one problem when posting a new thread. I copied and pasted the photobucket links as I normally would to upload a photo to the post. Instead of the photo showing up on the post, it posted links that won't work. Other than that everything seems to work fine.

You probably are aware, but for these two links. The first took me back to the top of whatever thread is was in and the 2nd gave a 404 error code.

@Milton - Thanks for the report. I am tracking the pages that are missing. Some of them won't get added until launch
@KO - Pasting from this forum into the old forum won't work exactly. Where as this forum uses the square bracket stuff like this, the new forum does not. It works more like Word where you highlight, click bold and then it shows up bold. It has been optimized for that type of typing and editing. Hopefully you won't have to copy/paste much from this forum into the new forum once it goes live.
I was able to reply without typing anything. I was
expecting a validation there.
With any luck I'll be prepping things for the final migration within the next week or so.
What that means is the beta site will probably be unavailable during that time.
I'm trying to figure out how to coordinate the final migration while giving myself an easy-ish way to add new content. It's gonna be tricky but I don't want to keep nitpicking anymore. I could find minor issues and tweaks for months (and I will) but that shouldn't delay launch if the major stuff is working.
I want to thank those that have helped me test true functionality. I don't think any major issues were reported. Any that were missed will just have to be taken care of after launch - that's the way it goes. Thankfully we're just talking about toy cars and not trading stocks.
