Had a great father's day with my dad and family.

Unfortunately my home internet is still down, and I've been out at the shop evenings working.
I'll try and figure out the points stuff today at lunch

Cars were shipped out yesterday to Smitty

Ok, sorry for the delays guys but here is the bracket from my race.

http://www.austindiecastdrags.com/gasserbracket.jpg

And here are your winners!

1 - 88
2 - 48
3 - 96
4 - 50
5 - 46
6 - 72
7 - 93
8 - 6

and here is the run down based on the race number.

Races 1-4 were big blowouts with 3-5 car lengths between
Race 5 - A little closer with 1 car length and then 1/2 a car
Race 6 - Car 6 from behind in race 1, then equal down the slope with a take off in the flats...this car likes the flats
Race 7 - blowout with 5-6 car lengths
Race 8 - blowout again with #56 almost DNF
Races 9-11 - 2-3 car lengths each
Race 12 - #56 DNF, no visible problems with the car though
Race 13 - #88 blasting out of the gate, 1-2 car lenghts at finish
Race 14 - 1-2 cars
Race 15 - #72 hauling out of the gate but #6 trying to catch up on the flats
Race 16 - no notes, doh!
Race 17 - 2-3 car lengths
Race 18 - 6 from behind both times blasting on the flats!
Races 19-21 - 3-4 car lengths
Race 22 - 48 from behind to 1 car length lead in pass 1, neck and neck to 1 car length in pass 2
Races 23 and 24 - 2-3 car lengths
Race 25 - first really close race with 1/2 car length
Race 26 - another really close one
Race 27 - super close race both passes
Race 28 - ditto!
Race 29 - 48 from behind to 1/2 car length, neck and neck to just edge out on pass 2.
Race 30 - Neck and neck both runs out of the gate with 88 just edging out with 1/2 car length.

I have to tell you, the last few races were pretty spectacular with such evenly matched cars over a 50' long track.

Sorry again for the delays, Mr. Carl will have to tally points for you all.

I snapped a few photos I'll add in a bit.

!

wow, way 2 go B,
some late bloomers...so far all teams have had at least one car in the top 8...only 4 of 16 cars have not placed in the top 8.. one more shot. this has been some darn good racing ! hold on jalopies... GASSER FINALS SATURDAY, RESULTS SUNDAY.

The Tastelikedirt Corvette is making a strong showing the second half on the season. A little too little a little too late.

some late bloomers

Looks like some of those cars are liking the 50 footer!

72 is Jason's Impala

Of course the leaders cars are impressive, but I was impressed with TLD's Corvette and Delta 6 Camaro.

Thanks TLD for the clarification post...easier to read indeed!

Thanks Bryan for putting in the time to race when I know you're super busy with everything else in your life. It would have been sweet to see the cars compete on your 50 footer.
I knew that Demon was going to be fast, but I'm surprised how consistent it's been. So happy!

I just found this photo of a mammoth race I held when I first built my 4-lane track a couple of years ago after joining Redline derby racing online.
I raced over 250 cars over 2 or 3 days and this is how the finalists looked.
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox
Yes, that's the Demon in the number 2 spot in it's original purple paint, just behind the Knitty Gritty Kitty Valentine version.

the sloppies are slipping... we need our geritol !

That Demon is really carrying team 442. A poor showing from the Sloppies on the Jaloppies home track is required for Team Tastelikedirt to make its move into second and that's looking pretty unlikely.
